Foster Tree-house Playground

The Foster Tree House Playground includes five tree houses blended into a natural setting for an imagination-filled, “free-play”. The tallest of the tree houses rises up to 16 feet off the ground. The playground provides kids of all ages a 360 degree view of the surrounding area, four slides, a crazy tunnel, log climbers and cargo netting. This playground is unique, and nothing like it can be found anywhere else in the southwest.

Giraffe Encounters
Giraffe Encounters

*Will open in Phase III (TBD)*

Get up close and personal with AJ, Bonsu and Juma, the zoo's three male giraffes! Feed them along with their zookeepers - but watch out for their 15-inch long tongues, because giraffes will snatch the lettuce right out of your hand if you’re not paying attention! These boys are friendly and truly enjoy the special treats and this fun experience they share with their visiting friends.

Token Price: $3

Endangered Species Carousel

desert spring
Hunt Family Desert Spring

During the warm weather months (the zoo is open year-round because it’s warm almost all year around here), the Hunt Family Desert Spring offers a splashin' good time! This interactive water play area features dancing water, gushers, spray tunnels, tower sprays, pop-ups and more. These different water patterns emitted by the spring are not only fun to watch but great for families to splash around in, relax and cool down.
