Magazine's 2007 BEST OF THE BEST
"Best Place to go for 5$ or Under"
(Come see Tigers!)
We are proud to announce that El Pasoans voted the El Paso Zoo number one in the Category: “Best Place to Go For Under $5!”
From beautiful animals, to great educational events, to a perfect site for a picnic – even a place to hold a wedding – the El Paso Zoo is a great place to visit and a great value for your money. Come visit the Zoo to see elephants or orangutans or tigers. You can get so close to a tiger you can count his whiskers! Adult tickets are $5 dollars, kids 3-12 years old are $3, and if your child is under 2 years old – they get to visit us for free! We also have discounts for active duty military and seniors 62+ (gate is reduced to $4).
(Come say hi to the California Sea Lions)
Kids can watch sea lions frolic in the “World of the Sea Lion” show – one of the reasons that a ticket to the zoo is not only fun but also educational. Learn about the California Sea Lion (We have four) and watch their training routine. Everyday at 10:45 & 2:45 you can see how our zoo keepers take care of Sunny, Sushi, Coco and Cleo.
(Come take a ride on the Carousel)
The El Paso Zoo serves as a regional center for affordable family fun, formal and informal education, and conservation efforts for wildlife and their natural habitat. The Zoo serves nearly 300,000 visitors annually from El Paso, New Mexico, and the Borderland area. You'll see over 1,700 animals and more than 240 species, many critically endangered; leopards, jaguars, spectacled & sun bears, reptiles, birds, fish, invertebrates in natural habitat exhibits, even a spider monkey island. The Americas Aviary includes a walkway for visitors as well as a waterfall, flowers and plants. The Asian Complex is home to tigers, orangutans and two female elephants; Savannah and Juno.
