Liz Kern has just joined The El Paso Zoo as the new Marketing Coordinator.
She’s a familiar face in El Paso, having anchored the KDBC 4 Noon Show for nearly 10 years. She produced pet adoption segments, even fed stingrays on air. Now, she says her new position with the El Paso Zoo will allow her to help in the campaign to save wildlife and show El Pasoans all that the Zoo has to offer.
“What a great opportunity to get even more involved with the growth of our City. I’ve been here since 1996, and have watched the Sun City blossom. Where else do you find such great weather and friendly people. With the Zoo’s plans to expand and develop a new Entry and create African exhibits, I am honored to be a part of the momentum! We have so many ideas for the Zoo including bringing some of the events you see in other cities like Phoenix or LA to El Paso. In the future, look for new special events and maybe even yoga in the mornings with a healthy breakfast in our Grasslands Cafe. We have such a great site that is already used for group functions, weddings and birthday parties. Imagine even watching KING KONG at the zoo! “The possibilities are endless!” says Liz Kern.
The El Paso Zoo’s daily educational programs include Sunny and friends at the Sea Lion Exhibit (10:45am and 2:45pm), and Juno and Savannah in the Asian Elephant Exhibit (noon).
