During this one hour tour you and your family or friends will start off by meeting one of our zoo keepers and the animals they take care of. After a one on one conversation with the keepers, you will get see how the staff of commissary prepares the diets for all of the animals living in the zoo. End your tour with a visit to the Animal Medical Center and see the state of the art equipment used to take care of our animals.

Take a special behind the scenes tour of our elephant facility. The tour offers an opportunity to help give one of our Asian elephants a bath. Once the soap has been rinsed off and the elephant is clean, you have the opportunity to help our keepers feed her breakfast before she moves into the exhibit yard.

Bring your friends and your family to enjoy 2.5 hours of fun at the Zoo at nighttime. Meet three animals during an up-close animal encounter*, see what happens at night during a guided hike around the Zoo, and create enrichment for our animals to enjoy the next day!

Participate in a 30 minute experience inside an animal exhibit helping zookeepers hide fruits, veggies and more! After the food is hidden everyone then moves back into the main viewing area to watch the animal find the food.
Produce Hunts are offered with Asian elephants and Galapagos tortoises. While we cannot guarantee which animal will be available for your program, you can write in your preference in the comment section of the registration form.

Have you ever wondered what happens to the animals when everyone has gone for the day and the Zoo is closed? Bring your pillow, toothbrush, sleeping bag and spend the night at the zoo to find out! Sleepovers include evening and early morning guided tours, live animal presentations, nighttime visits to see some of our animals and so much more.
