TARGET AGE- 5-100
 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

  1. Water management Planning- Assist water agencies in developing quality water conservation plans.
  2. Conservation Education- the Water Conservation Program collects and disseminates information about water use and management.
  3. Demonstration of Innovative technologies- The WCP supports local demonstrations of projects such as improved water measurement, appropriate use of automation and telemetry control, new approaches to minimizing canal and ditch seepage, and innovative on-farm irrigation management methods.
  4. Implementation of Conservation Measures- the WCP provides technical help for water agencies to begin implementing conservation methods. Local programs include also provide cost-sharing, generally on a 50-50 basis, through cooperative agreements or grants.


LOCATION OF PROGRAM (EXAMPLE - Schools, Zoo grounds)- The El Paso WCP will go to any school or event in order to get its message out.
